In the 1970’s there was a lot of research conducted on words in the English language that had the most profound effect on people. These twelve words have been shown to evoke the strongest emotions in the listener and/or reader.

Advertisers picked up on this idea, constantly bombarding us with these terms through television, junk mail, radio ads, etc. How many times have you heard or seen each of these words just today? But it works! (Or promotions would not continue to use them!)
